5:32pm: Ryan Seacrest is prepping us for the night, Giuliana Rancic looks really beautiful if not a little bit ice skater-esque in Tony Ward. Ryan is in his usual Burberry.
5:35pm: Giuliana is interviewing Amara Miller, youngest daughter in The Descendants. At 11, flaunting Valentino Couture is tough to pull off, it is a very sophisticated beaded dress, and the hair is all wrong. It just isn't fitting her age, it's too much for such a young girl.
5:42pm: Penelope Ann Miller from The Artist, crossed front halter neck Badgley Mischka, the pink color really suits her but the dress is a little young, no?
5:47pm: oooh Giuliana gives us a cliff hanger, someone is beautiful in a turquoise dress...
Missi Pyle from The Artist, the infamous turquoise dress. It's an eco-friendly gown made of silk from cruelty free silk worms. Missi really looks lovely in the light blue color and her hair in a wavy wide swept half updo pays homage to the 1920's movie.
Milla Jovovich, stunning in Elie Saab and that red lipstick is perfect with that silvery white beaded one shoulder gown.
6:06pm: Wolfgang Puck and all his food, a grazing menu this year, I wish my appetizers looked that good!
6:07pm: Kelly's purple/silver hair is really distracting.
6:08pm: Ryan is with Rose Byrne and I am loving her bob with the bangs, she is wearing Vivian Westwood but the sequins, sadly, looks a little cheap. Wendi Mclendon-Covey has walked in and that color is just washing her out. Now, it's Ellie Kemper in bronze beaded Armani Prive, her hair matches her dress perfectly, she is darling.
Berenice Bejo from The Artist in a mint Elie Saab gown, her hair is a bit tight against her head which unfortunately is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, it needs to be loosened a bit.
6:20pm: YEAH, Melissa McCarthy, love her! Her deep blush colored gown is Marina Rinaldi.
Shailene Woodley in Valentino Couture, everyone will be mimicking her hair. She is so refreshing and just mentioned that she is studying to become an herbalist (what is that?).
Jessica Chastain looks beautiful and fresh in a black strapless Alexander McQueen gown with intricate gold beading. She just got so excited to meet Ryan for the first time, so cute. Her character in The Help was my favorite and she brought her Grandma!!
Just spotted Michelle Williams in a gorgeous red peplum dress!
6:32pm: Stacy Keibler and George Clooney, she is beautiful in gold Marchesa (off the Fall 2012 runway), although I am not sure about the fabric rose on her hip. George is just the most dapper man.
6:42pm: Viola Davis, hair au natural, absolutely stunning in emerald green Vera Wang
The men in the room just pointed out Maya Rudolph, they have their favorites, although they don't like the eggplant color. They don't have a clue.
I had no idea that the Oscars had a Music Consultant, enter Pharrell Williams.
Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow, she is wearing navy blue Roberto Cavalli. They are a great couple and funny.

6:53pm: Michelle Williams wearing deep coral Louis Vuitton with tiny hip broach, LOVE the peplum but the necklace seems misplaced, no?
Rooney Mara, in Givenchy, she picked it this morning. Very good choice indeed, and such a nice departure from black.

Octavia Spencer in one of her favorites Tadashi Shoji, she looks so good and the gathering around the waist is so flattering.

7:22pm: Melanie Griffith in Yves Saint Laurent and Antonio Banderes, they look so nice together and I just can't get enough of his accent.
Tina Fey in a peplum Carolina Herrera just told Ryan he was "a victim of comedy."
Jennifer Lopez in art deco Zuhair Murad, her skin is flawless.
Ryan is now talking with Emma Stone, her dress is Giambattista Valli.
Sarah Hyland has now joined the ladies to talk fashion, I really like her gray lavender gown.
