Spring Couture 2013

Spring Couture 2013 walked the runway this week. There were ruffles, flowers, lace, tulle, and most of all, pants. Yes, pants. Pants with jackets, pants with skirts and pants with dresses. Not your 90's version of jersey skirts over pants but silk gowns over cigarette pants. It was decidedly fresh and feminine. I would not be surprised if this look showed up at the Oscars. (Which we will be LIVE blogging on February 24th!) There was also an eclectic mish-mash of colors, angles, textures and fabrics. While at times confusing, some of the designs really came together to show something new.  Don't throw away any red dresses, it was a key color in the couture shows, as well as ready-to-wear.
