Jackets and Coats and Capes, oh my!

Fall 2010 runways are bringing us a plethora of gorgeous outerwear. Always a part of Fall, outerwear is taking a decidedly front row seat at the shows, sometimes carrying the spotlight of the entire collection. Plaid, leather trim, drop waist, military, colorful: a style for each individual personality.

So, start saving your pennies for one fabulously updated piece of outerwear. Some standouts from New York and London, enjoy!

So much to say! Donna and J. Mendel

Ok, so Spring 2010 fashion week is well under way. I have 2 pages of notes to sift through for all the collections so far. BTW...yellow is going to be hot for Spring 2010.

I have two standouts to date... J. Mendel and Donna Karan.

J. Mendel is filled with glamor. His clothes are detail specific and expertly sewn. Regal is a word that comes to mind for the floaty silk chiffon dress below. Exquisite.

I was so pleasantly surprised by Donna Karan's collection. In her past few collections I just didn't get where she was going with her design, well today, I have seen the light and it is airy, wearable and fantastic. The color pallet is tight and cohesive and the line flows from a folded suit to printed chiffon dress, all working with each other.

I still have to post all the desirables for Fall, totally sidetracked by Spring 2010. But fear not my fashion loved ones, I will get to all of it.

Below are some looks from J. Mendel and Donna Karan.

Enjoy!
