Friday Blues

Ah, Friday. Normally, "I've got the blues" are left to Monday but today we celebrate the brightness of this primary color, in all its shades.

Go ahead, add some blue to your life. Enjoy!

Ruffle Jacket

As I was perusing my daily blog read this morning, I came across the most stunning ruffled leather jacket in a photograph taken for The Sartorialist. The jacket is from Valentino's Spring 2010 collection and it is lovely.

It reminded me how a few flourishes can create depth, dimension and interest to any ensemble. Here are a few to try at home. Enjoy!

Babies... not my own

Two of my closest friends had babies, one in January and the other just yesterday. Seeing photos of the little ones brings so much joy. I have known these two characters for over 16 years and now they each have a child, there is something ridiculously beautiful about that. I am so proud of them and so excited to meet the little bundles of joy in the coming weeks.

In their honor, some adorable nurseries, baby clothes and baby gear.

Jill, Derek, Sanjay and Leah, love you.

Let's get physical, physical

Sports inspired pieces have made their way into running for top trends of Spring 2010. Light weight jackets, sexy sheer mesh, t-back tanks, shorts with drawstring, brights and stripes: all easy additions to any Spring wardrobe. No need to be athletic to flaunt these looks, they are more chic than sweaty. Enjoy!

This spread from FT's "How to Spend It" was spot on a few weeks ago.
