I haven't been in school for many, many years but my love of the back to school shopping experience hasn't changed. There was always such excitement in planning the first day of school outfit, it makes me giddy just remembering it.

Nowadays my school is a combination of Mommy and me classes with the Little Guy, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the fresh start of Fall. If I'm excited for school, he will be, too!

Fall Must Haves- be choosy with your choices

From goth to boho chic, the fall runways were teaming with trends. There are a lot to choose from... so how to decide? Well, choose what speaks to you most, what can fit into your pre-existing wardrobe, what pieces are you DIE-ing to have, what made you jump up and clap. Not every "Must Have" is suited for every person, so be choosy with your choices!

Hats, again, are making an impact on fashion. (See Love Affair with Hats) New York fashion week is well underway and this time Fall 2010 has the fever. Various shapes, sizes and textures topped the models strutting down the runways. Everything from fur to cloche to bucket to slouch, nothing was off limits. We still have London and Paris to experience int he next few weeks, I can't wait to see what is in store.

Love affair with hats

Haute couture is having a bit of a love affair with hats. Denim, tulle, leaves, sequins, veiled. Creative adornments for the often neglected head. What began in the middle ages as a decree from the church that a woman's head must be covered, evolved into a full blown profession in the 18th century, known today as Milliners. As we all know, Coco Chanel began her career as a milliner, creating the epic fashion label later on.
