My darling friend, An, told me she loved this adorable dress from Anthro.
I could not agree more. Pattern dresses are spot on for Spring. I switched my closet from fall/winter to spring/summer last weekend, I may need a few of these to fill in the gaps. It's time to add some color to the wardrobe.
Enjoy!

What's new Wednesday
What is new on this lovely Wednesday? Jackets my dears, jackets.
Jackets are a wonderful staple for Spring. With chilly mornings, warm afternoons and brisk evenings, layering is the best way to dress for March, April and May. Jackets can add punch to a black dress, sass to a pair of jeans and class to any work ensemble (not matchy matchy, though). Add this to your MUST list. Tailoring is essential, as a well fitted jacket can last several seasons.

Saturdays
By Friday, like most everyone else I know, I am ready for the weekend. Ready to wake up Saturday morning knowing that I can pretty much do anything with my day, free to explore, to create, to not be sitting at a desk.
It's funny how I have always fallen into a regular routine. As a child, we were up by 7am and off to a swim meet, excited for a day of racing in the pool, learning discipline and camaraderie, playing with friends and, possibly, basking in a win.
As a teen, those swim meets turned into Saturday morning practice, exhausted by 2 hours of drills and sprints but thrilled to go shopping with friends. I would wake up my best friend at exactly 10am, forcing her out of her slumber to meet me for our very packed and planned day. One of my favorite of all these Saturdays included shopping at Nordstrom, candy at See's, makeovers at Bare Essentials and dinner with friends.
Now, at 30, Saturdays are early morning run, grab some delicious coffee, read the papers, write my to-do list and forge ahead with my day, which normally ends with drinks with friends. There is something very comforting about Saturday.
Here is to comfort and the ever enjoyable Saturday... Enjoy!

Woodland Creatures
My new Pottery Barn catalog arrived and I have been perusing it, looking for decoration inspiration. Last year, I was obsessed with the woodland creatures ornaments, this season they added a raccoon and a fox (too adorable).
They added a new type of woodland creature ornament, the pine cone critter. Now, I have a new set to acquire.
How can one not get into the holiday spirit with these little guys?!

Yesterday, my Restoration Hardware catalog arrived, it is brimming with fun holiday decor. I am really taking to the vintage handblown ornaments.. chic, sexy and oh so festive!
It appears I have created my holiday decor theme, shimmering woodland nights. Now... what to wear... Enjoy!
